CIGRE RNC Subcommittee B1 “Insulated cables” was found within TATCABLE plant

Based on the results of carrying out CIGRE RNC Association Presidium it was decided to include TATCABLE plant to the Association’s member society and to found the Subcommittee on the subject В1 «Insulated cables» of CIGRE RNC as well as to assign to TATCABLE plant the status «CIGRE RNC’s Leading Scientific and Technical Partner». In mid-March relevant documents were signed between CIGRE RNC Association acting by the Chairman Murov Andrei Ievgenievich and TATCABLE plant in the person of the Director Miller Viktor Vladimirovich.

TATCABLE’s Chief Process Engineer Beskorovainy Anatolii Iurievich was chosen as the Head of the Subcommittee, the plant’s Head of Marketing Department Grigoriev Stanislav Anatolievich was appointed as the Subcommittee’s temporary acting representative in charge.

For the year 2016 the Subcommittee В1 «Insulated cables» has planned the scope of work as follows:

• Issues of cable and cable lines operation, maintenance, cable and accessories operation terms, transporting conditions and regulations and installation;
  
• Cable diagnostics and testing in the process of production, cable systems diagnostics and testing, periodic tests of cable systems;
  
• Investigations in the field of application of new materials for production;
  
• Issues of cable lines monitoring based on cables temperature, accessories partial discharge level and temperature;
  
• Issues of fire safety of big-sized cables laid in the air;
  
• Issues of mechanical stability of big-sized cables;
  
• Impact of cables on the environment;
  
• Increase of calculation accuracy with regard to cable admissible continuous current, cable modes of operation when overloaded;
  
• Normative and technical base development for high-voltage and extra-high-voltage cables.
