Joint CIGRE TC+SC meeting was held in Russia on 07-09 October 2019
Joint CIGRE TC+SC meeting was held in Saint-Petersburg on 07-09 October 2019 with the participation of Rob Stephen, CIGRE President and Andrey Murov RNC CIGRE Chairperson, Rosseti FGC UES Chairperson.
Participants discussed strategic management issues and global trends of power industry development. The key subject of discussion was preparation for 48th Paris CIGRE Session. Within the cluster «Russian Day» of the meeting Russian NGN presented a report about best practices as well as run-up to YM activities during forthcoming CIGRE Session (including Forum, Showcase, Technical visit etc.). At the report it was proposed to create a unified platform for young professionals.
Participants also visited substation 330 kV «Vasileostrovskaya», which serve as the major knot of St. Petersburg high-voltage circle. The facility is fitted with the newest gas insulation high voltage and switching equipment 330 and 110 kV. In 2017 the substation «Vasileostrovskaya» was equipped with remote control devices.
