NGN Chairs meeting
There was an ordinary NGN Chairs meeting on 7th
of July, 2019 in which took part representatives from Netherlands, Canada, USA, Russia, South Africa, Germany, Ireland and Finland.
The opening speech of the meeting was made by Adam Middleton, Chair CIGRE UK. The key topic of his speech was a possibility for all CIGRE young members to participate in the development of a new CIGRE Strategy. It is a great opportunity for NGN to bring ideas and views into the Strategy.
During the meeting results of young member’s participation in D2 – 2019 Colloquium in Helsinki were discussed.
Another important item of the meeting was YM activity during forthcoming Session-2020. This activity includes issues like YM Showcase, Booth and Forum, which will be organized by CIGRE Russia in collaboration with young members from USA and Germany.
Finally, it was announced the creation of new NGN groups in Ireland, Canada, Finland, Slovenia, South Africa as well as in Sweden.
