Attendees of the SC D2 Colloquium CIGRE discussed issues on cybersecurity and control of distributed energy resources (DER)

The 2^d day of SС D2 Colloquium CIGRE «Information Systems and Telecommunications» (21 September 2017) continued with a discussion of priority issues: "Software platforms for control of distributed energy resources (DER)" and "Resilience to cyber threats of information and telecommunication systems in the power industry ".

Special reporter for the preferential subject PS1 "Software platforms for control of distributed energy resources (DER)" was Alexey Nebera, Technical Director in Power Engineering, Director of the Smart Grid Department, RTSoft AO. Experts from Germany, Russia, Slovenia and Croatia presented reports and answered the questions from the audience.

Then the Colloquium continued with the reports of two the Youth section of RNC CIGRE speakers. Their reports were selected from 11 presented poster papers, the new format for presentation in Russia at the Colloquium. The speakers had an opportunity to make the full-format presentations during the general part of the event.

At the end of the day the participants of the Colloquium discussed the topic "Resilience to cyber threats of information and telecommunication systems in the power industry", moderated by special reporter of PS2 Dennis Holstein, Managing Director & CEO of the OPUS Consulting Group. Reports were presented by experts from Italy, China, the Netherlands, Russia, the United States, France, South Africa and Japan.

On 22 September, the attendees of the Colloquium will also concern the order of the day issues, which include reports of specially invited foreign experts, have a round table discussions and a technical visit to the Dispatch Center of SO UPS - the «wheelhouse» of the Unified Energy System of the Russian Federation.
